TWPR: Empowering Communities through Health and Communication – A Successful Medical Mission in Cambodia!
In a remarkable display of compassion and dedication, TWPR, a leading integrated marketing communications agency, recently contributed to a life-changing medical mission in Cambodia. Through their expertise in public relations and their unwavering commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives, TWPR played a crucial role in supporting the St. John Phnom Penh Health Mission to Kampong Speu. This heartwarming endeavor left an indelible impact on the lives of hundreds of Cambodians, underscoring the agency’s profound commitment to making a positive difference.
The St. John Phnom Penh Health Mission, organized by a team of passionate individuals led by Ms. Trish Hume, brought together volunteers and supporters to embark on an eye, dental, and first aid mission. Held under the powerful slogan “For the Health & Well-Being of Cambodian People,” this initiative aimed to provide vital healthcare services to underserved communities in Borseth, Cambodia. Supported by Ms. Hume’s Australian family and friends, the mission took place at the Hun Sen Serey Ongnea Primary & Secondary School in Basedth District, Kampong Speu Province.
Collaborating closely with St. John Phnom Penh, Himawari Hotel Apartments, and Preston International School, TWPR played a pivotal role in ensuring the mission’s success. As a dedicated communications agency, TWPR recognizes the importance of effective public relations and communications in amplifying the impact of CSR efforts. By leveraging their expertise in press release distribution and active volunteer participation, TWPR helped raise awareness about the mission and garnered support from various stakeholders.
Approximately 600 children and adults benefited from this remarkable endeavor. St. John Phnom Penh, in partnership with Housheng Phnom Penh Eye Clinic and RoomChang Dental Hospital, provided much-needed eye and dental checkups, oral hygiene education, and basic treatments. In addition, the mission included comprehensive first aid training for teachers and high school students, empowering them with essential life-saving skills.
The impact of the St. John Phnom Penh Health Mission extended beyond immediate healthcare services. Sunglasses, eye drops, toothbrushes, and toothpaste were distributed to children and their families, ensuring ongoing care and support. The mission not only addressed immediate health needs but also emphasized the importance of preventive care and long-term well-being.
